11 Golden Rules for Relationships
Relationships are a journey, filled with both sunshine and storms. But navigating those storms with love and respect can strengthen your bond and create a lasting connection. Here are 11 golden rules to keep in mind for a happy and healthy relationship:
Don't compromise too much or more than necessary in a relationship, lest someone takes advantage.
Never slap your partner. They'll never forget or forgive you.
If you’re unable to talk to your partner, visit your parents for a while if you're the lady. If you're a man, well too bad. You can't leave your house.
Don't show your anger to your spouse, especially if it has nothing to do with them.
Love your spouse unconditionally, knowing that when love stops trust also dies.
Relationships that have been to hell and back seldom die.
Don't seek to hurt your spouse. He or she will reciprocate to anything you do to them.
A healthy relationship is not the absence of disagreements, but the presence of peace and conflict resolution tactics.
The perfect partner doesn't exist in a relationship. What exists is an imperfect person seen through perfect eyes.
Don’t drag the past into a relationship. That's how problems start.
Respect the freedom or independence of your spouse instead of trying to suppress it. Suppress it at your peril.
