A good woman makes a man look better. A good man makes a woman look better. It’s a slippery slope when we try to generalize about one sex being better, judging or politicizing by physical attributes.
We all understand our parent’s faults, growing up with a normal measure of rebellion, and we all think we won’t be like them. But then we are, maybe, in variations. My parents were extraordinary people, extraordinarily flawed. Here they are in the early 1960s at the San Juan US Navy base:
